# Intro to DualGuard

DualGuard is a security firm focused on making Web3 safer.

### DualGuard Services

DualGuard works to protect users and protocols from exploits through several security services:

* **Agentic Security Review:** Public contest of shorter period of time where guards will use their AI Agent to review a fixed scope under clear incentives, rules, and judging. For now, it will always precede a traditional security review
* **Competitive Security Review:** Public contest where guards review a fixed scope under clear incentives, rules, and judging. Each contest is backed by **2 Lead Guards** and **2 Lead Judges** ensuring quality standards
* **Mitigation Review:** A follow-up review after fixes were made, to verify that the reported issues were actually fixed and do not introduce other vulnerabilities
* **Pre-Launch Bug Bounty:** A final review window before deployment, where external researchers can still pressure test the code before funds are at risk

### Dual by design

At DualGuard, duality is part of the operating model:

* **2** Lead Guards for competitive security reviews and better coverage
* **2** Lead Judges for faster and fairer judging
* **2** layers reviewed for a complete review from web2 to web3
* **2** seperate entities can work on your security through the [Dual Programs](https://app.gitbook.com/o/pJD7Lx4RcGLoKjp92hW2/sites/site_o8cKH/s/yGeKSSJCn2LrZucDJ02L/~/edit/~/changes/165/dual-programs)

### DualGuard's Main Actors

* **Guards:** Independent security researchers who compete by submitting findings
* **Lead Guards:** Guards selected based on their level of expertise to lead a contest
* **Community Judges:** Judges who compete by submitting their assessment of the submitted findings in a contest
* **Lead Judges:** Judges responsible for evaluating findings
* **Supreme Judge:** DualGuard Judge who intervenes in the [Final Judgement](/dualguard/security-reviews/judges.md#phase-4-final-judgments) phase
* **Contest Manager:** DualGuard Operator who sets up the repo, supervises the channel, answers project related questions and keeps the contest running cleanly
* **Protocol Team:** The builders who define scope, communicates with the contest manager to answer the guards' questions, and ship fixes

For supported stacks and protocol categories, see [Supported Languages and Protocol Types](/dualguard/miscellaneous/supported-languages-and-protocol-types.md).
